Global Loud Speakrs
Conceived as a social initiative app by artist Olafur Eliasson, Earth Speakr lets kids from all over the planet speak for the planet via augmented reality “Loud Speakr” messages. Gradually growing into a global ecosystem that is made of thousands of voices on ecology, from global warming, to preservation and activism; Earth Speakr shifts the perspective from path to purpose to create reason. This is not about the how and why but about an innate relationship that kids have with nature that becomes increasingly more cynical and corrupted as we age. It is Earth Speakr’s indisputable artistic naivete that makes it a powerful tool for activism.

In addition, Studio Olafur Eliasson has collaborated with leading institutions and experts in creating educational toolkits and global events to inspire engagement with Earth Speakr in various settings. There are special tool kits for classrooms, libraries, museums,and science centers. Each toolkit is designed to help in the process of discovering the artwork – from exploring existing messages to empowering kids to create new messages. Get involved here.
